Today - Fen-Phen trust account is in shambles,
and very few victims have received help.
Wyeth grossly underestimated the number of Fen-Phen victims in an attempt to limit the amount damages they would have to pay to the Fen-Phen Victim Trust. Now that the number of victims is higher than Wyeth hoped for, they are actively trying to delay compensating their victims. In fact, since 2001, more than 90,000 victims have filed claims, but fewer than 3,000 claims have been approved.
